Having herpes means having a chronic condition which, for someone that has herpes, will have the condition for a long time even if many people do not have any symptoms despite the fact that they carry the virus. A lot of people that carry the HSV will have recurring genital herpes. Over time, outbreaks of genital herpes will initally have them more often although over time, these outbreaks will happen less often and with less severity. Herpes can be treated with some herpes treatment medication.

There are a couple of treatments for herpes available out there but what to pick? The herpes simplex virus is a pretty prevalent problem in our time. Basically, it's the virus that causes herpes. It is this kind of oral herpes that is the cause for cold sores that appear all over your mouth or on your face while on the other hand, genital herpes tend to flock around the genital area(obviously), or on your butt or on your anus. This disease is very much preventable and it is classified as a sexually transmitted disease and therefore you can most definitely get it when you have sex, oral or normal or missionary. He he he. Remember, you can get this even when you cannot see any sores so you have to be very extra careful with new partners. Disclosure is really important when it comes to this.

And that is a beginning for us.

Some people are asymptomatic, meaning they don't notice any symptoms of the disease while a lot of other people get sores that cause them a lot of embarassment. These then become blisters that are pretty uncomfortable then eventually heal. There is still no herpes cure.

Depending on your immune system, some people will experience an outbreak of herpes, like cold sores a couple times a year but some treatments are available that currently reduce the chance of outbreaks while we are all still waiting to cure herpes.

I know, I know, there's a lot of herpes sites out there. What makes us different? I don't know. Maybe I just want to let you guys know the experience I've had living with herpes and I've had a lot. I got the disease from a worthless and drunken hook-up six years ago and I've been through the washer on this. I've tried all the alternative treatments, tried all the new drugs, spent a lot of money and in the end, I've learned to live with this. There's no cure for herpes but there's hope. You can live with it, as logn as you learn to accept it. Stress just makes it more horrible so by taking it easy, you make it easy on yourself. Outbreaks happen more often when you agonize over it. So come back soon and let share your own story with me. Let's all get together on this. Being a better informed population will help us all in the long run.
